Nkima on Style

 

Hello world!

Let me introduce myself.

I’m Nkima De Faria, firstly a wifey to my beloved boo Ricky, a worldwide photographer and also a travel blogger from today! Can I hear a woop woop for Nkima on Style!

I cannot tell you how excited I am to start this project

 

I’ve been longing to do for over the past 3 years, but life just takes over. Nkima on style was suggested by the lovely Catherine Connor whilst training at Aspire photography training. She saw something in me that my mamma always did, the desire to inspire people wherever I go. My dream is to share my outlook on this crazy thing called life and to of course showcase the pretty and adventures side of our travels. As you now know photography is my full time job and passion runs strong, so expect to see images, lots of images in my blogs!

Our lives will change so much in a month’s time… We will be traveling to some of the most beautiful countries all over the world and blessed to have the opportunity to be able to work there as well.

 

Travel dates as follows…

First stop | Durban 10-15 November

Joburg + Pretoria | 15-20 November

20 November – 3 January | Cape Town

3 January – 3 April | Bali + Philippines

 

This was not easy people. My husband is an accountant; so convincing my realist of a man to travel / work was hard. It took some planning, some home cookin’ and of course a lot of you tube videos to get him on board. At the end of the day we will never look back and say we shouldn’t have done that. It’s always been such a big dream of mine to travel the world and meet different people. The first two months we will be working as freelancers in Bali and open for business! I will be miss trigger-happy and my boo will be working on his trading. The 3rd month we will set of to the Philippines for our last month of FREEDOM, as I like to say. I feel like this is the time in our lives to take chances. Be totally happy with your surroundings and take it all in, experiences is the best education.
